About the speaker
Prof. Paolo Angeli is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Hepatology (IF: 25.083). He is full Professor of Internal Medicine and Chief of the Unit of Internal Medicine and Hepatology (UIMH) of the Department of Medicine (DIMED) at the University of Padova, Italy. His main field of scientific interest is clinical hepatology, with a particular focus on cirrhosis, acute-on-chronic liver failure and liver transplantation. He has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed articles that have shaped the clinical management of patients with cirrhosis. In 2018 he was chair of the EASL Clinical Practice Guidelines on the management of patients with decompensated cirrhosis.
Prof. Angeli has served in the Journal of Hepatology’s Editorial team as Associate Editor for the last 8 years before becoming Editor in Chief.
